Reflecting on Manila 2026: Solidarity, Strategy, and the Power of the JGC Family
At the heart of JGC Line is a simple truth: our strength lies in our people. By intentionally limiting
our footprint to a selective group of over 150 vetted professionals across 56 international hubs,
we ensure that every handshake translates into reliable agency representation and genuine
business growth.
Our recent 21st Annual Global Conference brought the network together at The Westin Manila
in the Philippines for four days of intensive strategy, relationship building, and collaborative
planning. In a volatile 2026 logistics landscape defined by global supply chain fragmentation
and shifting trade routes, this summit served as a critical sanctuary of solidarity, proving that the
most complex global shipments are solved by the people you trust the most.
The Welcome Reception
The conference opened with a lively evening reception designed to break the ice and bridge
time zones. It gave long-standing partners a chance to catch up on personal updates while
giving our newest attendees an immediate entry point into the community.
A big thank you to CECL for hosting the evening and setting the perfect collaborative tone for
the days ahead.
Day 1: Visionary Keynotes & Industry Spotlights
We dedicated our primary sessions to exploring the macro trends reshaping global logistics,
featuring heavyweight insights from top trade authorities and global regulatory leaders.
Speakers dissected everything from macroeconomic turbulence and supply chain diversification
to the rising operational costs hitting transport sectors. By analyzing real-world operational
challenges side-by-side with trade policymakers, our members walked away with actionable
strategies to turn tightening environmental and legal compliance standards into a distinct
competitive advantage, moving swiftly from high-level insight to tangible business outcomes.
The stage welcomed two premier keynote speakers who laid out the future roadmap for
international trade lanes:
Ms. Mary Jean T. Pacheco (Undersecretary for SCLG at the Philippines' Department of Trade and Industry)
Prof. (Dr.) Thomas Sim (President of FIATA)
Following these high-level addresses, our top-tier partners and industry vendors took the microphone to share specialized operational workflows, digital tool upgrades, and regional capacities. The core focus of these tactical showcases was enabling independent forwarders to maintain a sharp competitive edge against multinational integrators. Industry vendors outlined how scalable tech infrastructure can bridge operational gaps, while our key partners highlighted robust neutral wholesale networks that secure reliable space allocations even during peak market volatility. By mapping out these specialized regional capacities, the presentations highlighted exactly how members can leverage collective strength to offer premium, agile solutions on a global scale:
SJ Kim presenting for CargoWise
Rebecca Foster presenting for Air Cargo Group
Ruby Gutierrez from Grandlink Freight International
Remon Sarofeem from Pyramids Freight Services
Jacky Law from Guangdong Nauticalink Supply Chain
We capped off these sessions by officially introducing the newest members, adding critical puzzle pieces to our global map:
Emprise International Transportation Co., Ltd., Shenzhen, China
DBC Logistics Private Ltd., Gujarat, India
Denholm Good Logistics Turkiye, Istanbul, Turkey
Day 2: One-on-One Business Syncs
The focus then shifted entirely to trade-lane development and personal business matching. The floor at The Westin Manila was alive with back-to-back, pre-scheduled meetings. Moving beyond basic geographical searches, members mapped out joint routing strategies, cleared up operational bottlenecks, and committed to reciprocal volumes for the coming year across our 56 global hubs, ensuring that every link in their supply chain remains secure.
The Grand Finale: "Back to the Golden Era" Gala Dinner
We wrapped up our time in Manila by stepping into the glamour of the past for our spectacular
farewell evening. The festivities commenced with an elegant opening ceremony and a traditional ribbon-cutting led alongside our key event sponsors to officially launch the night. Our delegates completely understood the dress code assignment, turning up in stunning, classic attire that brought the theme to life. While the entire room looked incredible, two attendees truly stole the spotlight:
🏆 Best Dressed Winner: Amutha from Sagesse Malaysia 🇲🇾
🏆 Best Dressed Winner: Jey from Aura Freight UAE 🇦🇪
Between the nostalgic elegance and excellent dining, attendees captured lasting moments at the official photobooth sponsored by Aura Freight Time Shipping LLC. Once the formal program concluded, the energy went through the roof. The banquet hall transformed into a massive celebration as a roaring conga line took over the floor, turning directory entries into the lifelong professional friendships that define our high 94% retention rate.
Corporate Social Responsibility: Leaving a Footprint in Manila
JGC Line believes in leaving a lasting, positive footprint in our host cities. This year, our collective focus turned toward supporting the Anawim Lay Missions Foundation in the Philippines. This dedicated sanctuary serves as a warm home, clinic, and haven for poor, neglected, and abandoned elderly individuals who have nowhere else to turn.
To kickstart the initiative, our network put forward an initial corporate contribution of USD 1,500 from the central JGC Line account. Inspired by this foundation, our delegates stepped up with incredible generosity on the conference floor, going on to raise an additional USD 5,590 in personal contributions.
This brought our combined total support to USD 7,090. These funds will go directly toward providing essential medical care, nutrition, comfort, and dignity to these resilient seniors in their silver years, proving that the JGC family extends its impact far beyond commercial borders.
Looking Ahead: Destination Cape Town!
The momentum built in Manila is already steering us toward our next destination. We are thrilled
to reveal that the 22nd Annual JGC Line Conference will take place in the spectacular city of
Cape Town, South Africa!
While our official event dates and hotel venue will be shared soon, the excitement is already
building for our first-ever network gathering on the African continent. Stay tuned for the official
announcements so you can lock in your slots early, expand your trade routes, and secure
critical partnerships in a brand-new region. Get ready for Cape Town!
